Art Course: Drawing with David

We’re not required to draw realistically but being in command of line, form, mass, value and space is the foundation

of our Artist skills. It boosts our ability & visual communication skills. It also makes our process more successful,

deliberate, fresh and enjoyable. Having a clear understanding of what happens is essential when creating our illusions.

This puts us on the Freeway of Creative Adventures rather than being stuck at stop lights and circling the block. This

knowledge gives us confidence to Edit, Add, Subtract, Simplify or Detail in a way that best dramatizes our Art.

We will explore tools & techniques for expressing and capturing the essence in what we see. Including Subject Matter,

Composition, Content & Design. Working with physical items from a Still Life set-up. Short Demos and hands on

exercises for all levels.
